Proper rug padding is essential for longevity, the feel of a slight cushion under foot, and the safety of slip-prevention on potentially slippery floors.

Padding guidelines

• The thicker the padding, the faster the rug will wear, develop traffic patterns, shading, and form buckles. We therefore recommend only the 1/16 of an inch thin pad.
• Never mix synthetic goods with natural materials or vise versa.
• Never use any abrasive-to-the-touch padding with a natural fibre rug.
• Webbed paddings buckle under rugs when inproperly layed and in traffic areas. These buckles cause the rug to wear unevenly.
